BIO: Fashion Executive

James Clip grew up in the fashion industry. His father ran a boutique shoe store in midtown from 1945 until the mid-’70s when he finally retired. James attended NYU, earning his Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising before working his way up to being a buyer at Ralph Lauren.

Now, as a senior buyer for men’s wear, James is known for his keen eye. He’s particularly gifted at trend-watching and is able to balance the needs of multiple lines and seasons at once.

On a typical Sunday morning, you can find James in his garden, having tea and enjoying the company of his partner and their dog, Lucy. But, his mind is always on the next best thing for Ralph Lauren and his clients.
